Membership

The Irish Foster Care Association welcomes new members and returning members. IFCA membership provides you with many different benefits including learning opportunities, supports, and local IFCA events and meetings. As an IFCA member you will be able to you to avail of our Legal Protection Insurance. Only current IFCA members and members of their family who permanently reside in their home can avail this very valuable legal insurance. Persons to be covered must be named on the insurance policy.
You do not have to be a foster carer to join IFCA. We embrace, value and respect diversity in our membership.

1 Years Free Membership

The Irish Foster Care Association is delighted to offer all new members, the first year of membership to our organisation free of charge. You may be new to foster caring or perhaps you just haven’t got round to joining us yet.

Individual Membership

Our Individual membership, allows one person to become a member of the Irish Foster Care Association. This membership is ideal for foster carers, people with an interest in foster care or who work in social care.

Family Membership

Our Family membership, allows two people to be named as members on one membership subscription. This membership is best suited to foster families. It offers a great range of benefits and supports.

Legal Insurance

The Irish Foster Care Association provides its members, the opportunity to purchase our Legal Protection Insurance but you must be a current IFCA member to avail of the insurance. This insurance covers legal expenses of up to €65,000 incurred in the event of criminal proceedings being taken against a foster carer or member of their family permanently residing within their home.

Group Membership

The Irish Foster Care Association offers group membership to organisations who work in the area of social care with an interest in foster care.

Friends Membership

Our Friends membership offers membership at a supporter level, giving access to our services and supports. This membership is suitable for people who wish to keep up to date with foster in Ireland.
