An Introduction to Community Drugs Work A 6 week programme with An Cosán Virtual Community College In this course, causes and consequences of addiction as they relate to the individual, family, community, and society are discussed. Response alternatives regarding intervention, treatment, education, and prevention are reviewed. Addiction issues related to diverse populations are presented, and the connections between local and global contexts in relation to drug use will be explored.

It may also be useful to those who are caring for others or people who feel over-whelmed with their ‘busy’ life and want to make a change.  During this one day workshop, participants will explore what self-care means as well as other commonly used concepts like burnout and resilience.
