Breathing Space

As part of the Fostering Connectivity project, the Irish Foster Care Association has developed a programme of workshops for foster carers who are members of IFCA. Breathing Space is a supportive space for foster carers to come together to address placement endings and disruptions in foster care.

This series of two-part workshops will focus on themes of grief, loss, self-care and resilience, as well as providing opportunities for participants to share their experiences in a safe and supportive space. Breathing Space workshops will be facilitated by Noel O’Driscoll; psychotherapist and external facilitator, and members will be invited to participate in experiential learning; exploring what supports and nourishes them, and to identify and develop individual ongoing resources and practices.
