Workshop: An Insight into the Experience of Being in Care

Details: The IFCA Kerry Branch, in conjunction with Tusla Child and Family Agency, invites you to a special workshop with guest speaker Shane Griffin. Shane is a Social Care Worker who has spent time working in mainstream residential care and with homeless adults since completing his studies; he is also involved in Care Leavers’ Network Ireland. Shane spent eight years in State care spending time with many foster families and in residential care homes as well.The workshop will provide an opportunity to ask questions and gain some understanding on what it is like for a child or young person who has grown up in the care system. Members and non-members welcome. Tea/coffee and refreshments provided.
